I wish I knew how to spell censorship
First edit - maybe more people would have read this and signed the petition if I had known how to spell censorship yesterday...
In case you didn't know, there has been a web blockage going on in South Korea for a few weeks. Immediately after the beheading of a Korean national in Iraq, the Ministry of Information and Communications Link moved to block access to anyone in Korea trying to view the video on the internet. In doing this, they have blocked access to many foreign sites, to include many blogs. I don't know if this affects JU or not, but it does affect many other blog servers. I've been reading about it on blogs from Korea for a while now - many people have found ways around the block and can again access their blogs, but the MIC has not budged. Interestingly, the MIC is blocking only sites that are possibly linked to the video of the Korean national being beheaded. There has been no attempt to keep Koreans from seeing the Nick Berg video, in fact, I remember reading that one of the Korean broadcast television stations showed the video in Korea on the news.
Sites/blogs you can get more info: (just a warning - this block has some folks fired up in Korea and the language on some of these sites is VERY strong)

There's more out there. Just check each of these people's blogrolls and you'll find even more info. These sites also have links to online petitions that you can sign that ask the MIC to drop this ban.
Here are two: Link and Link.
Lastly, there is an article written in a Korean newspaper that discusses the block and bloggers here Link
I realized that many of you don't have a personal interest in this but I hope that you'll take an interest regardless and pass the word at least.
Thanks.
