If it's wrong, I've probably said it...
Today is the day

Today is the day. We'll be leaving to drive up to San Jose in a little less than an hour and when we get there, my wife will have her interview for citizenship. I can think of only a few days more appropriate than Voting Day (a month ago would have been better - my wife has already expressed regret that she's so close to voting and won't be able to) to do this.

I found out that many offices don't do same day ceremonies (including this one, sometimes), so it may turn out that she successfully completes everything and still has to wait. That's kind of a bummer. It could be as long as a month before the ceremony. We're taking the camera anyway, just in case.

Wish her luck! I'll be back later to update!

Mrs Chip:

Good luck to you!  Hopefully by the end of today, you'll be a US citizen....and that's something to be proud of.

Let us know how it goes!

Thanks to all! She passed the test with no problems! But this office is a test today, ceremony later place... so, we'll be getting a letter in the mail again. They told us that it could be as long as 2-3 months! But, at least the test is over and now it's just a matter of time for the oath ceremony. Thanks again!

Congrats! That's wonderful news, chip! I'm sorry to hear that she'll have to wait for the ceremony, but I'm sure it will be very memorable and well worth the wait!

I'll pass that along. I always tell her when I've talked/messaged with you and she misses you, too.

Thanks! It will be memorable. We're both looking forward to it!
