If it's wrong, I've probably said it...
Nope

Well, it's been a few days since I've posted. I've commented here and there, but it's been longer since I've posted a blog article. I could say that it's been a busy few days, but that's not really true.

I came home early on Wednesday. Schoolwide we got permission to leave an hour early and since my normal go home time is an hour before most everyone else's, I left at 2:30 PM. I spent the afternoon and evening relaxing at home. I played with the dogs and wished I had the World of Warcraft game (I didn't get it out of my system during the free open beta). My wife called me from work during her dinner break and I told her again that I wanted the game for my birthday (next week). Well, my wife is the coolest person I know. Not only did she get me the game and give it to me that night, but she got me the big boxed collector's edition. We both stayed up late that night. I played WOW while she watched some Smallville episodes on DVD. We both like the show and just got the season one boxed set. Since the computer is in the living room area, I got to kind of watch the episodes while I played the game.

On Thanksgiving, we got together with some of our friends for dinner. They had a great amount of tasty food all ready right when we got there. We had a very nice dinner and I got to visit with a couple of my buddies that I don't get to see often enough. We had a good time and the turkey was awesome. Later that evening, they took all their kids (six in all) to see the Sponge Bob movie. We decided not to go despite not having anything against Sponge Bob. My wife wanted to rest up prior to Black Friday and I wanted to get back to WOW. We spent another evening in the living room.

We thought about getting up early on Friday and doing some shopping during the best buy sale hours, but my wife didn't want to go in to work feeling tired after a morning of running around shopping for bargains. I drove her to work figuring the parking lot would be full (it was). I spent a good bit of the afternoon playing more WOW. I dropped by JU to check out a few blogs, post a comment or two and then went right back to playing. I went to pick my wife up a little early. I looked around the store and decided on what I'd be getting her for her birthday (the day after Christmas) and Christmas. Now, I have to figure out a way to get it without her knowing or having one of her coworkers tell her.

Today was one more day of playing WOW. I'm having a lot of fun with this game. It's the first MMORPG I've ever played and it is addictive. I mentioned this before. I keep telling myself "Just one more quest" or "Just one more level". I'm played out tonight. I finished up a few quests and got my guy trained up on a few things and I'm done. I'll probably be fresh for some more tomorrow morning, but I'm done for now. My wife will be getting home any minute and we'll probably watch a movie or something.

So, that's it. Nothing too exciting. Just a long weekend and a new computer game. My wife works again tomorrow, so I'll be playing some more. Maybe I'll write a blog post in the spirit of my character in the game. Stormywaters, the dwarf paladin. He's 19th level now but if I play a little more......he'll be 20th level. (Sealab related joke in honor of the characters name)

It sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving vacation. I know what you mean about computer games. My hubby just bought one called Call to Duty. He is still in the greenhorn level but he keeps at it as often as he can. Since both our computers are in the same room, I am glad he keeps the sound down rather low. He can still hear it but it doesn't intrude on my thoughts. Keep blogging!
