If it's wrong, I've probably said it...
Excuses, excuses...

This morning, I got to be PT leader. The guy that's usually in charge was on duty last night and he asked me to take charge today. Oh, joy! I didn't get the email that I thought I would about yesterdays run. I figured he'd send out an email to all of us about paying attention to detail and completing the runs as directed, but appararently, he chewed out the dog guy yesterday and that was it. Or, so I could have hoped...

When dog guy got to PT this morning, he decided to tell me all about how our group leader was pissed at him and blah, blah, blah, something about his son, blah, blah, don't have to be here, blah, blah, blah...crap. I learned long ago how to pretend to listen to people and still know when to nod and say "u-huh". I don't really care about what the excuse was. Your dog can't run that far? Don't bring her. I don't bring my dogs to PT. You have to be home by a certain time to wake your son up? Run faster. Or, if you can't, make prearrangements to either start early or get permission to cut your run short. Don't keep that crap secret and nod your head at the start of the run when asked if you understand the task, conditions, and standards.

A lot of people didn't show up for PT this morning, which meant I got to make an interesting report to the 1SG. He wasn't happy that so many people went unaccounted for. I got an email apology from one of the troops. You don't have to apologize to me. Apologize to your ass after the 1SG chews the crap out of it... there's a visual I wish I hadn't invoked.

With only three people, I made it self PT and told the two guys to check out with me before they left. Pretty easy morning. I just ran on the track for about 40 minutes. That would make some people circle sick, but it just gives me time to compose blog articles that I probably won't ever actually write.
