If it's wrong, I've probably said it...

Someone recently posted a link to an English quiz. I can't even remember who it was now. I took the quiz and because of a computer hiccup, I lost my cut and paste job of my results and the window closed. Didn't feel like taking a 40 question quiz again (yeah, I'm that lazy) so, I never replied there... Sorry to the OP of that thread.

But here's a link to a new quiz that tells you "What kind of American English do you speak?"

Your Linguistic Profile:

80% General American English
10% Dixie
5% Midwestern
5% Upper Midwestern
0% Yankee

That depends on if you say "Coke" no matter what soft drink you might be enjoying and if "y'all" "just rolls off your tongue".

I sho nuff do! As in, "Hey, would y'all get me a Coke (and they know that means a Diet Dr. Pepper) when you go to the store? I'm so thirsty, I'm fixin' to die."

Oh for an opening like that every day........., but no, it's just that yankee's only half the word in Dixie talk. Now if you were from California it might be more of an adjective.....
