I did not write this and it's been a while since I put much of my own original writing up, but, meh, I felt like sharing it here anyways... To hell with my own original writing! A good friend sent this to me in email. Don't know if he wrote it or not, but it's something he might say, so I guess it could be him. World's Shortest and Best Fairy Tale Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl "Will you marry me?" The girl said, "NO!" And the guy lived happily ever after and went golfi...

The Illmatic has returned. That's right, Kim Jong-Il is blogging again! And he wants to know who won the 'erection'! I keep his link in my 'Sites I Like' section because it has been a LONG time since he has updated, but he has a new post up today. AND, it includes a little bipartisan humor! If he starts posting regularly again, I'll move it to my blogroll. Go check it out! Really. Funny. Stuff. Kim Jong Il (the illmatic)'s Journal Special thanks to Blog Navigator . I woul...

Right after ranting about the Reservist article on OhMyNews! , I saw this funny post. Check out the entire article here - Copping a Plea With a Korean Cop . There are a couple of really funny comparisons between the police officers in the states and in Korea. If you're not sure whether you want to spend the two minutes clicking away from JU to read this article, maybe this picture will help sway you.

On another thread today, I got a little silly in an attempt to lighten the mood and maybe help in some small way to keep the flames from erupting. Some commented that it was funny and suggested reposting under humor so that more people might see... so, here it is - The setup - Someone asked - "Where did America go? I look out my window and uhmm, its still there. " And I answered with - Actually, that is just an illusion. I have taken America for "safekeeping". It is in a co...

Today in class, I had some extra time during one of the class hours, so I turned the class over to the students and let them make a story one sentence at a time. We went around the room and each student got to add whatever they wanted. I started them off by telling them that it was New Year's Day (¼³³¯ - GTV FEV) and they should start telling the story of Myong Ju's holiday. Here is a rough English translation of what was said. Anything in parenthesis is my own addition or explanation. ...

Last night I got a call from a good friend of mine (he has commented before under the name Regular Guy). Regular Guy and I worked together in Hawaii. We got to talking and catching up and we hit the topic of how he got this nick. You see Regular Guy had an old car in Hawaii. I don't remember what it was, but it was one of the old steel boats the US automobile giants put out in the 70's. It had, as my high school driver's ed teacher told us, 'Six feet of steel in front your, six feet o...

Got your attention with that title, didn't I? Back in 97-98 I lived in Korea and got to work with two good friends of mine - greywar and Different Hanja. For most of the time I was there, only greywar had a car of the three of us. He'd often drive us home after flights or over to main post to do laundry. He'd also drive us to Osan Air Base to use the commissary. At the time, the Camp Humphreys commissary was a little larger than a big 7-11, but the Osan commissary was just like a real ...
